Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has given his view on the news that the club has completed the purchase of the Racecourse Ground.

This afternoon, the club announced that the transfer of the Racecourse Ground freehold from Glyndwr University to Wrexham AFC has been completed.

It was announced in February, on the one-year anniversary of the Hollywood takeover, that the deal for the freehold was close, but it was confirmed today (June 29).

The confirmation of the purchase will potentially aid the Kop redevelopment as part of the Stadium for the North campaign.

The plans for a new 5,500-seater stadium are well underway, with proposed design images released by the club earlier this month.

Permission to demolish the existing site has now been granted by Wrexham Council, with the outcome of the Stadium for the North campaign set to play a large part in the redevelopment.

Now Ryan Reynolds has reacted to the purchase confirmation on his social media, he said: "So happy for the entire Wrexham AFC community.
