AMLWCH Showstoppers will peform its summer pantomime for 2022 – “Treasure Island” – at Memorial Hall this weekend (July 1-3).

Written by Ben Crocker, Jim and his mum come across a treasure map hidden by Billy Bones and begin an amazing adventure with the squire, heading off to the Caribbean with a strange-looking crew.

Do Jim and the gang find the treasure and get back safely, or do Long John Silver and his pirate crew scupper their plans?

The group recently received an award from NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) in recognition of its efforts in keeping going during the lockdown period, and the work to secure its future.

This included writing new scripts, training younger members in stagecraft and stage management, and updating their sound systems and backdrops.

Amlwch Showstoppers are due to perform at Memorial Hall Amlwch on Friday, July 1 (7pm curtain), Saturday, July 2 (5pm curtain), and Sunday, July 3 (2pm curtain).

Doors open 30 minutes before the curtain goes up, while refreshments, a tuck shop and raffles will also be available.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for under-16s, while children younger than two years old go free.

A family ticket (2+2) costs £15.
