A fun-day festival will be hosted in Flintshire this summer in support of Alder Hey Hospital after a local boy suffered a badly broken leg.

Six-year-old Reggie Hughes fell off his motorbike in March and broke his femur, which resulted in two surgeries and another one pending.

He spent a significant amount of time in Alder Hey hospital and as a result, he and his mum, Georgia Williams are hoping to raise as much money as they can for the children's hospital.

Georgia said: "Having spent time within a place as amazing as Alder Hey we are left with no choice but to fundraise with all we have in hope to provide help to the hospital to continue their outstanding level of care and compassion.

"Nothing will ever say thank you, but we can try, and with that we can all have fun! From pain and trauma specialists, physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, surgeons - everyone involved was more amazing than words."

"We will be hosting a live musical event to show our support for all that Alder Hey has done for all of our children within the North West and beyond.
