TPiD is now fast becoming a world-leading, research-driven technology company, using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to provide organisations with decision intelligence and bespoke data insights.

The Sports Technology Awards, dubbed “The Oscars of Sports Technology”, a leading global celebration of technology-led innovation across the international sports sector, recognised TPiD by awarding the win.

The awards were attended by more than 500 industry leaders representing in excess of 18 countries.

Competition was stiff, with TPiD contending with some world-class organisations.

The judges said: “This entry distinguishes itself from general athlete monitoring tools by underpinning the AI with deep experience in athlete pathway science.”

The award recognises the companies’ achievement in collecting data across multiple disciplines, ranking those in order of importance to create a blueprint for talent development.

This combined with the research framework and the AI in the system means that decision intelligence is enhanced.

Dior Anderson, TPiD chief technical officer, said: “Thank you to the STA Group.

“In today’s fast-paced world, companies need to adapt quickly to changing markets and innovative technology has a huge role to play from grassroots right through to high-performance sport.

“Athletes and coaches need to be supported in understanding which of the thousands of data points circulating around are most important to them and their strategies

“The award represents our visionary work at the forefront of global sport and the recognition from STA 2022 as winners acknowledges this brilliantly.

“We’re a very proud group with solid ambition to continue our journey upwards and onwards”

TPiD’s platform uses AI as a solution and visualises results and insights on the platform immediately.

This gives the practitioner evidence driven answers to questions to make informed decisions.

Rebecca Hopkins, STA chief executive, said: “The awards’ categories evolve each year to reflect the needs of the sector, but Athlete Coaching and Performance Technology is perennial.

“In a world in which sports stars, managers, coaches, governing bodies, and franchise owners are looking for every possible marginal gain, this area is important, and the brands that win it are very influential’

Louisa Lawrence, chief marketing officer, added: “We are really grateful to win this award.

“We set out on a journey together to break down silos of data content gathering within organisations and this award symbolises the mixture of innovation, collaboration development, and delivery efficiency that TPiD can offer within the sporting world.”
