A POLICE incident caused the A5 to close in both directions in Gwynedd.
Traffic Wales tweeted at roughly 3.50pm today (May 20): “Police incident: A5 closed in both directions between Tregarth and Bethesda.
“Avoid the area if possible.”
North Wales Police added: “Due to an ongoing incident, we have closed the A5 from the One Stop roundabout down towards the Brynbella crossroad.
“Diversions are in place.”
UPDATE: at 4.55pm, North Wales Police said: "Further to the post in relation to A5 from the One stop roundabout down towards the Brynbella crossroad, the road has now reopened.
"Thank you for your patience in relation to this"
