THE CHEAPEST places to get unleaded petrol in Anglesey, Bangor and Caernarfon have been revealed as prices see a further rise in the last week.

The average price of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts rose marginally from 162.5p per litre on May 2 to 163.7p on Monday, 9 May, according to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The cheapest places for petrol are:

  • Tesco Extra Bangor – 160.9p
  • Asda Bangor (Farrar Road) – 161.7p
  • Morrisons Caernarfon – 161.9p
  • Morrisons Holyhead – 162.9p

The most expensive places for petrol are:

  • Texaco Bangor – 165.9p
  • Texaco Pentraeth – 164.9p
  • Shell Caernarfon – 163.9p
  • Texaco Caernarfon (South Road) – 163.9p
  • BP Bangor (Beach Road) – 163.9p
  • Asda Llangefni – 163.7p
  • Gulf Gaerwen (Gaerwen Crossroads) – 163.9p
