JUST over a dozen new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in North Wales.
Public Health Wales data released on Thursday (May 12) shows that in the 24-hour period between 9am on Tuesday and 9am on Wednesday, 16 new cases were confirmed in the region.
A full local authority breakdown of the new cases is as follows:
- Anglesey - 3
- Conwy - 4
- Denbighshire - 0
- Flintshire - 1
- Gwynedd - 6
- Wrexham - 2
A further five people who had tested Covid positive in the last 28 days died in Wales in the latest 24-hour period. This takes Wales' total number of suspected Covid-related deaths to 7,433 since the start of the pandemic.
Nearly 200,000 people in Wales have now had the Spring booster dose of the Covid vaccine.
As of May 5, there were 224 people being treated for Covid in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 9 per cent of all inpatients.
