ANOTHER high street shop has closed in Bangor, joining a spate of others to have done so in recent years.
Select, a fashion chain with stores in Bangor and Rhyl, announced that they will be closing their Gwynedd branch, putting up a notice at the Bangor store stating: "This store is closing down. Please visit your nearest store or shop online at www.selectfashion.co.uk. Subject to landlord negotiations."
The closure continues an exodus of major fashion brands from the city in recent years, with big names H&M, Peacocks and TopShop all leaving the Gwynedd city, while high street heavyweight Debenhams went into administration in 2019.
