A MAN from Gwynedd has been handed 16 weeks’ imprisonment after he was found guilty of harassing a woman.

Kevin Whithe, 39, of Gellfechan Road, Barmouth, was accused of harassment without violence and of breaching his restraining order by texting, calling and leaving voicemail messages for Wendy Brittain on April 6.

Mr Whithe was prohibited from such behaviour by a restraining order imposed by Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on September 2, 2021.

He was found guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on April 8.

For breaching his restraining order, Mr Whithe received a 16-week prison sentence.

No separate penalty was issued for harassment without violence, to which Mr Whithe pleaded guilty.
