A MAN from Holyhead who stole a rucksack and a drone has been handed a prison sentence.
Gareth Hughes, 41, of Cleveland Crescent, was also found guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on April 4 of possession of cannabis and an amphetamine.
On March 15, Mr Hughes stole both the rucksack and drone, worth £535, belonging to Mr William Bell, from a property on Market Street.
On the same day, at a property on Maes-Yr-Haf, he was also accused to be in possession of a small quantity of cannabis and an amphetamine.

For committing theft, Mr Hughes, who was on recall until 2023 following previous convictions, was sentenced to four weeks’ imprisonment.
He was also ordered to pay, upon his release, a surcharge of £128, to be paid in full by January 1, 2024.
No separate penalty was issued for the possession of either Class B drug, but the cannabis and amphetamine was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
