AS ENERGY and fuel costs soar, one tourism company is offering an alternative, with discounts on cycling tours across Anglesey.

Green Lane Bike Tours, based on the Isle of Anglesey, have put together four of their most popular Guided Bike Tours to provide an introduction to cycling in the region.

Visitors will be offered discounts of ten and 15 per cent on bookings of two or more tours.

With four small-group tours over five days, visitors will be able to soak up the island’s history and beauty by exploring the quiet routes that the Tour provides.

Eli Elis-Williams, Green Lane Bike Tours Owner and Guide Leader commented: “With more people wanting to enjoy more ‘green’ leisure activities and follow a healthier lifestyle, we help people to see the best of what Anglesey has to offer, without contributing too much to their carbon footprint, or even spending too much on petrol.”

The five-day, four-ride package runs from Thursday, 14 April to Easter Monday on April 18.

The first day will see visitors explore St Cwyfan’s, the church now surrounded by the sea, followed by a visit to the ruins of Penmon church and priory the next day.

A ride to Llanddwyn Island follows on the Saturday, culminating in a prehistoric tour including Bryn Celli Ddu burial chamber on Monday, 18.
