A WOMAN who died as a result of a crash in Anglesey last week has been named as Judith Ann Pennington from Llanerchymedd.

Mrs Pennington, from Llanerchymedd, was 65 years old, and her husband Richard described her as a “dear, caring, loving wife”, thanking the emergency services and others present at the scene for doing everything they could to try to save her.

North Wales Police (NWP)’s Roads Policing Unit said: “We can confirm that the lady who lost her life in a road traffic collision last Friday afternoon (February 25) on the B5111 between Coedana and Llanerchymedd on Anglesey was 65-year-old Mrs Judith Ann Pennington from Llanerchymedd.”

Her husband Richard said: “It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Judith Ann Pennington, my dear, caring, loving wife, on Friday February 25 as a result of a fatal road collision on her way home along the B5111 road.

“I am devastated, in complete shock and cannot comprehend or imagine life without Judith.

“Those who knew Judith will remember her for her love of life, adventures and socialising, despite the health challenges she faced following a stroke in around the year 2000.

“She will be forever missed by me; our beloved dogs Elli Mai and Charley; her brother John; and her many friends, including Liz, Carol and Jane.

“See you soon, my flying angel.

“I would like to thank everybody who did what they could to help in trying to save Judith; the emergency services, the attending paramedics, Wales Air Ambulance, police officers and the road users at the time.

“I am still continuing to process these events so would kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

NWP remain in search of witnesses to the crash.

Its statement added: “We are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision which involved a grey-coloured Peugeot 208 which was travelling from the direction of Llangefni, and a white coloured Nissan Navara towing a large red mobile sheep dipping trailer, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

“We are particularly keen on speaking to anybody who may have witnessed the Nissan Navara travelling between Llanrhuddlad and Coedana, and are urging anybody who may have been in the area and who may have dashcam footage to contact us.

“Anybody with information that could assist with the ongoing investigation is asked to contact us via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 22000138079.”
