FLOOD alerts and warnings have been put in place for a specific area of Anglesey as Storm Eunice arrives in the region.

The Met Office is warning that dangerous and disruptive winds will take place in North Wales throughout Friday in association with Storm Eunice.

This is expected to result in large waves along coastal areas and bring outbreaks of rain.

Natural Resources Wales has put a flood alert in place for the Cemlyn Bay area of Anglesey.

A statement from them read: "Areas on the western coast of Anglesey, from Cemlyn Bay to Llanddwyn Island. The Flood Alert is now in force for the next 4 days.

"The times of forecast high waters are available on the Admiralty Easy Tide website. We will continue to monitor the situation."

Meanwhile, a flood warning is in place for the Trearddur Bay area.

An NRW statement read: "Parts of the village including Lon St Ffraid and Lon Towyn Capel - this Flood Warning is for high tide on Friday morning and is based on current forecast in response to Storm Eunice. The high tide is at 11:30 AM on Friday 18 February 2022."
