POLICE have announced they will be stepping up patrols in an Anglesey town and its surrounding area following a rise in anti-social behaviour reports lately.

North Wales Police (NWP) say that this due to a spate of such incidents in the Amlwch region recently, including the seizing of drugs by officers from youths last weekend.

A NWP Anglesey statement read: “Following a recent rise in reports of anti-social behaviour in the Amlwch area, our officers will be increasing patrols in the town and surrounding area.

“We have liaised with staff at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones in relation to the youths involved in the incidents, with concerted ongoing enquiries to identify those responsible.

“Our message to parents in these areas is to please consider where your sons and daughters are during the evenings, who they are spending time with, and what they are doing when they are out of the home.

“Pictured (above) are some of the drugs seized by officers last weekend from youths involved in anti-social behaviour.
