THEATR FACH, a local amateur theatre in the heart of Llangefni, has been chosen from a list of applications to be in the next series of Prosiect Pum Mil that will air on S4C later this year.

Presented by Welsh TV personalities Trystan Ellis-Morris and Emma Walford, Prosiect Pum Mil is a series in which teams have £5,000 to undertake a building or renovation project that will benefit their community or area.

Theatr Fach Chairperson, Llio Mai, said of the coup: "It is very exciting news that we have been selected to a part of the TV programme to develop a project in the theatre.

“We are really looking forward to starting the work and offering more opportunities in the theatre to our volunteers and the local community.

“The series is very popular on S4C and we are delighted to have been selected from a number of applicants who applied to be on the program.”

Gethin Williams, responsible for the construction side of the theatre, said: "This special opportunity is going to mean a great deal to the theatre and the local community.

“It's going to be a challenge, but we're all looking forward to getting on with it and having a lot of fun during the working period.”
