An inquest was opened into the drowning of a British man who’d been on a jet-ski in a river in Ghana.
Married dad Iwan Gwyn, aged 49, of Pontllyfni, Caernarfon, a quantity surveyor, had been living in Ghana.
Coroner Katie Sutherland at Caernarfon said it appeared he had become detached from the jet-ski last month at Alorkpem, when it became dark.
His body had been returned to the UK.
A provisional cause of death was given as drowning and a blunt head injury.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
