A man accused of biting his partner’s cheek after she changed the TV channel was jailed for 27 months following repeated attacks on her.
Joshua Wren, aged 29, of Ffordd Beibio, Holyhead, had also kicked her in the face, pushed his hand in her mouth, and choked the victim, during occasions of violence against her.
He admitted three assaults causing actual bodily harm and breaching a restraining order.
Defence barrister Dafydd Roberts told Caernarfon crown court that Wren now accepted the relationship was over.
He’d taken time to address his drug misuse while in custody.
“He does have complex mental health issues that need addressing,” counsel added.
Judge Timothy Petts imposed a ten-year restraining order.
Wren will have three months trail monitoring after being freed from jail.
