A MAN from Caernarfon was fined after travelling via railway without having paid his train fare.
Cian Owen, aged 21, of Glan Peris, was travelling between Chester and Bangor on October 9, 2021 despite not having paid his £22.60 fare.
On January 7, Cardiff Magistrates’ Court ordered Mr Owen to pay a fine of £220 for the offence.
In addition, Mr Owen was told to pay the £22.60 in compensation, as well as a victim surcharge of £34, and court costs of £179.
This amounted to a total of £455.60, for which Mr Owen was given until February 4 to pay.
