POLICE are investigating reports of working dogs stolen from both Anglesey and Gwynedd earlier this week.

North Wales Police (NWP) say three sheep dogs were taken from a property in Bodedern, Anglesey, and another dog from near Bethel, Gwynedd.

Police are also looking to speak to the owner of a black Nissan Navara with a silver canopy and a dog crate in the rear of the car.

A Facebook post from NWP Rural Crime Team read: “Sometime between 5pm on December 29 and 9am on December 30, three sheep dogs have been stolen from a property in Bodedern, Ynys Môn.

“Sometime between 12pm and 1pm on December 29, a sheep dog has bolted from a property near Bethel, Gwynedd.

“There have also been suspicious incidents involving a black Nissan Navara with a silver canopy and a dog crate in the rear. We are keen to speak with the owner of this vehicle.

“Have you seen anything suspicious? If so, please contact North Wales Police on Crimestoppers (0800 555 111), quoting 21000897359.

“Be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to police.

“Move kennels to a secure area which is well-lit. Install remote alarms on kennel doors to alert you to any unauthorised activity.

“Close gates to farm yards or any areas where items of value are stored. Join your local farm watch, speak with neighbours, and sign up to Community Alert farm watch.”
