CAERSWS booked their place in the third round of the Ardal North Cup with a 2-1 win at home to Penparcau.

The tie looked set for penalties after Arky's Gytis Pivnickas cancelled out Will Thomas' 50th minute strike but Rhydian Davies' injury-time winner ensured the Bluebirds a last gasp victory.

Carno also sealed their progress following a 5-4 win at home to Corwen.

The visitors broke the deadlock through Tom Williams but Carno led at the break with Kieran Beaton levelling before Joe Morris fired the Greens ahead.

Carno extended their lead after the break with Jack Orbell and Josh Matthews netting before Williams reduced the arrears with his second of the day for the visitors.

Orbell completed his own brace on the hour and despite replies from Harry Pooler and Ryan Billington the home side held out to progress.

Kerry celebrated a shock 2-1 win at home to Dolgellau AA to book their place in the next round.

Liam Williams broke the deadlock for the Lambs only for the visitors to immediately reply through Dave Edwards.

Charlie Mainwaring's missed penalty did not matter as Kerry regained their lead before the break through Cenwyn Jones-Bloor with the Lambs holding out despite the late dismissal of Mark Probert.

Elsewhere Berriew also sealed their progress with goals from Ed Baker and Jack Williams earning the Rhiewsiders a 2-0 win at Rhos Aelwyd.
