A HOLYHEAD COVID-19 vaccination clinic received a special visit from Father Christmas recently.

‘Holyhead Santa’ (AKA Richard Burnell) visit Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley in Holyhead for his booster jab ahead of the festive season.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board wrote in a Facebook post: “In preparation for his Christmas duties this year, Father Christmas visited the vaccination clinic at Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley in Holyhead for his COVID-19 booster, to keep himself and others as safe as possible when he travels across the world soon.”

Mr Burnell was named in the New Year’s Honours List 2021 for his services to young people and the community of Holyhead, and has received a British Empire Medal.

He has been involved in organising youth activities at Holyhead Maritime Museum and the Port of Holyhead for more than two decades.
