A MAN from Gwynedd was fined and received penalty points on his driving licence after he was found to be speeding on a restricted road.

Geraint Wyn Jones, aged 50, of Bethel, Caernarfon, was spotted driving at 37mph on Thornton Road, Bradford, where the speed limit was 30mph, between Old Road and Leaventhorpe Lane.

This took place on Wednesday, June 9.

Mr Wyn Jones pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £146, and was given until December 6 to pay the money.

He was also ordered by Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £90, amounting to a total of £270.

Mr Wyn Jones also had three penalty points added to his licence for the offence.
