A Gwynedd man who racially abused a security guard at Llandudno’s ASDA store was jailed for twelve weeks.
Keith Jones, aged 53, of Ogwen Terrace, Bethesda, admitted racially-aggravated public disorder and breaching a criminal behaviour order last August.
Prosecutor Sara Worland said he had previous convictions including for similar racism.
District judge Paul Conlon at Llandudno court ordered Jones to pay £128 compensation.
He told him: "During this incident you have repeatedly used racially abusive language and behaved in an aggressive and threatening manner to a person carrying out a service to the public in his role as a security guard.
"There would have been quite a number of people present.”
A probation officer said Jones had been diagnosed with a personality disorder and there was no real remorse.
Defence solicitor Dafydd Roberts said Jones, unemployed, took umbrage at being asked to move.
The defendant accepted he shouldn’t have behaved in such a manner.
