POLICE have moved to reassure a community following 'rumours' of an attempted abduction of three juveniles.
This was in the Caernarfon area.
NWP Gwynedd North posted on Facebook on October 29: "We have been aware of rumours on social media in recent weeks regarding an attempted abduction of three juveniles in the Caernarfon area.
"Having thoroughly investigated the circumstances, we would like to reassure the local community we are satisfied that no attempted abduction took place. Furthermore, there is no cause for ongoing concern for the community."
A/ Inspector Arwel Hughes said: ‘We would encourage the public to always report any such incidents directly to the police, rather than speculating on social media, as this can raise anxieties unnecessarily, as well as causing a delay in us investigating."
