A SAFETY warning has been issued after a fire involving an electric blanket in Caernarfon during the weekend.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the incident at roughly 7.25pm on Saturday, October 9, which took place on Llanberis Road, Caernarfon.

Crews from Caernarfon, Bangor and Llanberis attended.

This afternoon (October 11), the service posted a tweet about the incident, saying: “This is the damage caused by a fire involving an electric blanket in Caernarfon on Saturday – thankfully no one was hurt.

“Please follow the manufacturers’ instructions when using and don't overload extension leads/leave them trailing where people walk.”
