STARS from the hit comedy show Brassic have been spotted in Abergele as filming for the new series gets underway.

Former Coronation actress Street Michelle Keegan is among the cast to return to North Wales for the fourth series of the popular Sky One show.

They have been spotted in various locations in Conwy in recent weeks, with filming taking place near the river in Llanfair TH and at a shop in Betws-yn-Rhos.

Keegan shared snaps of herself enjoying the sunshine in Abergele to her 5.1 million Instagram followers Thursday morning. One picture of the star holding an electric fan had the caption "Putting in work for a bit of breeze", while in another, showing a drone being used to film, Keegan wrote "beautiful Abergele".

She has become a key part of the comedy drama series, which is set in the fictional northern town of Hawley. It is centred around a group of hapless friends as they make their way through a life of crime.

The show is inspired by the childhood experiences of co-creator and former This Is England star Joe Gilgun, who plays Vinny.

It gained applause from critics and won a Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for scriptwriter Danny Brocklehurst.

Keegan was pictured at the Mulberry pub in Conwy last November for the shooting of the third series, along with Gilgun, and actors Ryan Sampson and Aaron Heffernan.

The third series, which is due to be aired in October, is rumoured to feature a gruesome episode in which a character is ‘killed off’.
