A 64-YEAR-old man died whilst on a diving excursion off the coast of Caernarfon.
The man was part of a group of divers who had gone out but did not resurface at the same time as the rest of his party.
NWP Gwynedd North shared a statement on September 13.
"Police were called shortly before 3.30pm on September 12 by the Coastguard to ask for assistance with the incident and a multi-agency search was launched," it said.
"The diver was recovered but was sadly pronounced dead at around 7pm."
Detective Inspector Andrew Gibson said: “I would like to give my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the man at this very sad time.
“Police are now supporting the local coroner with their investigations into the circumstances of this incident which is not currently being treated as suspicious”.
