THERE have been more than 400 new cases of coronavirus recorded in North Wales, according to the latest data.
Public Health Wales figures show that there were 2,317 new Covid cases across the country, with eight newly reported deaths – which sadly brings the total of deaths during the pandemic to 5,734 people.
Of the new cases reported across Wales today, 429 were here in North Wales.
The latest figures for the region can be broken down as follows:
Anglesey – 58 (82.8 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 79 (67.4 per 100,000 population)
Denbighshire – 72 (75.2 per 100,000 population)
Flintshire – 107 (68.5 per 100,000 population)
Gwynedd – 61 (49 per 100,000 population)
Wrexham – 52 (38.2 per 100,000 population)
The seven-day rolling rate of infection in Wales is now 557.8 positive cases per 100,000 people.
In North Wales, Conwy and Denbighshire still have the highest rates of infection, while Wrexham has the lowest.

Conwy – 585.3
Denbighshire – 604
Flintshire – 429.9
Gwynedd – 480.9
Wrexham – 395.7
A total of 2.3 million people have received their first dose of the Covid vaccine with almost 2.2m having had both.
