THERE have been more than 2,400 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Wales.

A total of 2,467 new COVID cases have been identified as of Friday, September 10, with five newly reported deaths - bringing the total of deaths during the pandemic to 5,726 people.

Of those cases reported across Wales, 496 were here in North Wales.

The latest Public Health Wales figures for North Wales can be broken down as follows:

Gwynedd – 104 (83.5 per 100,000 population)

Wrexham – 103 (75.8 per 100,000 population)

Conwy – 98 (83.6 per 100,000 population)

Flintshire – 75 (48.0 per 100,000 population)

Denbighshire – 71 (74.2 per 100,000 population)

Anglesey – 45 (64.2 per 100,000 population)

The seven-day rolling rate of infection in Wales is now 522.7 positive cases per 100,000 people in Wales.

In North Wales, the highest rates of infection are in Conwy and Denbighshire.

The lowest in Wrexham at 347.2/100k.
