A MOTORBIKE crash at the Anglesey Circuit yesterday (Monday, August 30) led to two people being airlifted to hospital.

Emergency services - were sent to the track in Ty Croes after the crash took place on Monday morning.

Both casualties were flown to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.37am yesterday, Monday 30 August, to the Ty Croes area of Anglesey to reports of a two-motorcycle accident.

“We sent one rapid response vehicle, one emergency ambulance and two resources from the Wales Air Ambulance.

“Two patients were conveyed by air to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment."

The Anglesey Circuit opened as a fully licensed Motor Sports Association and Auto-Cycle Union championship racing circuit in 1997, and hosts motorsport events such as car racing, motorcycle racing, car sprints, stage rallies and drifting.

The Anglesey Circuit was also approached for comment.
