VEHICLES have been driving through the red traffic lights at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway.
Motorists are being reminded how important it is to remain stationary until all warnings lights stop flashing, even if a train has passed.
Issuing a warning, HGC De Gwynedd / NWP Gwynedd South said: "We've been made aware of concerns that vehicles have been driving through the red traffic lights at the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway. We'd like to remind road users that not only is this dangerous as there may be an oncoming train, but if you drive through a red light you will be liable for a fine and points on your licence.
"The red lights are for the safety of Drivers and Pedestrians.
"Please don't take the risk just to get somewhere a bit faster."
Deliberate misuse of a level crossing is a criminal offence.
Penalties include fines and points on licenses.
