A new study has ranked Snowdonia National Park among the top 50 bucket list destinations for families to visit in Europe.

FatherMag, a parenting and lifestyle magazine that has been operating since 1995, ranked more than 250 spots across the continent that children and families love, including theme parks, beaches, zoos, aquariums and more.

Each place was rated based on their average Google rating and number of reviews on Google (e.g. a destination with an average rating of 4.9 and 30,000 reviews scored higher than a destination with 4.5 average rank and 40,000 reviews).

Snowdonia took 38th place, with an average rating of 4.9 out of five and 20,971 reviews.

Father Mag said of the North West Wales region: “Pack-up! It’s time for wild camping across the Celtic forests.

“If you and yours are always in the mood for marshmallows and stories by the fire, this is your place!

“The mountains offer fabulous trekking trails around the many lakes. If you’re here, don’t miss out on all the Welsh castles. It’s a fantastic experience for everyone.”
