A CLIMBER with multiple injuries who had fallen has been airlifted to hospital.
Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team were called at 6.39pm on Saturday, June 26. This was its third call of the day from North Wales Police.
The man was unconscious after having fallen some distance climbing in the upper tiers in the Llanberis Quarries.
In a multi agency rescue, the climber was stabilised and flown to hospital.
A spokesperson for the team said: "The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation who respond to those in need on Snowdon and the surrounding mountains. The Team is on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relies entirely on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service."
