A LARGE amount of illegal tobacco has been seized in Caernarfon.
North Wales Police said its Caernarfon neighbourhood policing team seized the tobacco was seized at a store in the town.
The tobacco is not regulated and can include ingredients that are not legally approved.
"Sgt Non and PC Dewi from Caernarfon NPT delighted to be working in partnership and in support with our local Gwynedd Trading Standards and Regional Wales on a large seizure of illegal tobacco from a store in Caernarfon," a post on the NPW Gwynedd North page said.
"We will continue to work in partnership to assist in the disruption of activity which ultimately puts people’s health at risk.
"Members of the public who purchase these types of illegal tobacco products have absolutely no idea what ingredients are put into these cigarettes in the first place."
