A BUDDING photographer from Rhyl has won a competition with her stunning shot of Llyn Padarn.

Holiday home park operator, Park Leisure, asked people to submit their best spring-time photographs to be in with the chance of winning a family getaway.

More than 625 entries were submitted.

Eirian Parr was crowned the winner with her photo of Llyn Padarn, Llanberis. The image features a "cheeky, photogenic" duck, happily embracing centre stage.

Eirian said: “After such a difficult year with juggling studying, home schooling and working from home this prize means the world to myself and my family.

"We have missed out on so many opportunities this year it will be great to be able to finally getaway, relax and enjoy what our beautiful country has to offer.”

Lisa Williams, director of marketing and holiday sales at Park Leisure, said: “We’re thrilled to have had over 600 fantastic entries to our spring photography competition from all over the country. Each one made us excited to get out in the great outdoors and have some spring-time adventures.

“Huge congratulations to our winner, Eirian, what a stunning photograph, we loved the cheeky duck photobombing.

“With international travel still up in the air, this really is a great time to explore what the UK has to offer, and these photographs really showcase just how much there is out there.”
