An injured climber was rescued from a ledge 100ft down from Ellins Tower South Stack on Anglesey.
HM Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team Cemaes Bay joined their flank Team HM Coastguard Holyhead Cliff Rescue Team earlier today to launch a rope rescue.
A cliff technician descended to the injured climber and once his injuries were assessed, it was decided to lower the HM Coastguard cliff technician along with the injured climber into the RNLI ILB on scene from Trearddur Bay.
With exceptional seamanship the RNLI Lifeboat positioned itself perfectly for the Coastguard Rope Technician and casualty to be lowered from the cliff face.
Both were then transferred to the RNLI Station at Trearddur Bay.
Both HM coastguard Teams recovered their equipment and returned to station to sanitise the equipment and vehicle ready for the next call.
