A SHEEPDOG which had fallen and become stuck on a mountain peak has been rescued.
Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team, a Snowdonia based mountain rescue team, assisted a farmer with the rescue of the three-year-old sheepdog, called Aran, who had become stuck on cliffs below the summit of Cnicht.
The team posted on Facebook: "Having been stuck overnight on a narrow ledge unable to move, the request was made for the team to assist and try to rescue Aran.
"The team responded, dog biscuits in hand, and set up a rope rescue system to lower a team member to retrieve the dog who was completely unharmed from his ordeal.
"Animal rescues, though fortunately few and far between, form a key part of the team’s role in rural North Wales and we were pleased to be able to bring Aran to safety and support a member of our local community."
