A CAR caught fire while repair work was being carried out in Colwyn Bay.

North Wales Fie and Rescue Service sent four crews to the incident on Eagles Farm Road at about 1.35pm on Saturday, April 10.

The fire started due to a spark from welding work on the vehicle.

Both the vehicle and the building had 100 per cent fire damage.

A fire service spokesperson said: "We were called to a fire at a commercial garage on Eagles Farm Road in Colwyn Bay at 1.35pm on Sunday, April 10. Crews from Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Conwy and Rhyl attended.

"The fire was caused by a vehicle fire within the building, causing smoke damage to the building, 100 per cent fire damage to vehicle, and 100 per cent smoke damage to building.

"Te cause thought to be spark from welding work on vehicle."
