SHEEP have been butchered and their remains thrown into a stream on Anglesey
North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team launched an appeal following the incident near the railway bridge between Malltraeth and Llangafo.
The meat was stripped from the sheep, which were taken from a nearby field.
Police tweeted: "Appeal for information, where a sheep in a field in Anglesey has been butchered and the head and carcass discarded into a water course."
Dewi Evans, officer in the Rural Crime Team, said: "Unfortunately we have come across dead sheep. The meat has been taken off, leaving the skin, the head and the guts. It is unpleasant.
"It can't have happened a long time ago.
"If you have seen any suspicious vehicles, maybe dumping something along this road recently, then let us know."
