A significant amount of drugs have been found in a house in the Llanfair PG area of Anglesey, during an operation by Western CID.

The drugs which are believed to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis were found in a house on Thursday February 18.

A 51-year-old man from the Llanfair PG area was arrested on suspicion of Possessing Controlled Drugs With Intent to Supply.

A second man aged 47 was arrested at another address.

Both men were interviewed in relation to the seizures and later released under investigation.

Our enquiries, led by Anglesey CID remain ongoing.

Det Sgt Andy Davies said: "This is a significant seizure; these drugs would have made a lot of criminals a lot of money at the expense of the harm they would have caused to our communities, so it’s immensely satisfying to have seized them before they were supplied on the streets of Anglesey and Gwynedd.

“The operation was a fast moving and dynamic situation which involved CID detectives working with uniformed colleagues to ensure that the suspects were quickly arrested and evidence secured.

“North Wales Police is committed to targeting and dismantling criminal gangs who pose the greatest threat to the public, and whose damaging influence stretches throughout Wales and beyond.

“The key to our success is working closely with the local community, and this seizure of a significant amount of drugs, and arrest of the two men is testament to this.”
