A 53-YEAR-old motorcyclist has died following a crash on Sunday.
The crash happened at the junction of the B5111 prior to Parys Mountain between Rhosybol and Amlwch at about 1.20pm on Sunday, February 28.
Despite the best efforts of the first people at the scene and paramedics, a male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision involved a white Mercedes Sprinter Box Van and a motorcycle.
An investigation has been launched.
Sergeant Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit, who is leading the probe, said: “We would like to offer our profound condolences to the family at this difficult time.
“We are appealing for witnesses and I am encouraging anyone who can remember travelling on the B5111 that saw a blue coloured motorcycle and a white box van travelling towards Amlwch between Rhosybol and Parys Mountain between 1.10pm and 1.20pm to contact us."
