POLICE have warned motorists that officers are patrolling the roads following a drug drive arrest in Bangor.

North Wales Police's Roads Policing Unit said a number of arrests were made including in Rhyl and Wrexham after drivers were caught under the influence of drugs.

Some were found to have committed other offences including driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.

Officers from the unit tweeted: "Yet more #drugdrive arrests this week in Wrexham, Rhyl and Bangor. One was also a disqualified driver, others had no insurance. So you never know what else we'll discover when we stop you.

"Despite 'essential travel only' we are still out and about."
