IN the wake of Storm Christoph, North Wales must now deal with icy conditions as the Met Office issue another warning.

The yellow alert will come into force today from 4pm - just a few hours after a previous overnight warning of ice was lifted at 10am this morning, Thursday - and is going to remain in place until the following Friday morning at 10am.

The Met Office states that: "Further showers on Thursday night will leave surfaces wet. As ground temperatures fall below freezing, ice is likely to form in places.

"Some of the showers will be wintry, especially on high ground, with 1-2 cm snow possible above 200 metres."

All six parts of North Wales fall under the warning.

What to expect:

  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
