The Welsh Conservatives have selected Mark Isherwood as their lead candidate for the North Wales region ahead of the upcoming Senedd elections.
Mark – the Shadow Minister for Local Government, Housing and Communities, Shadow Minister for Armed Forces and North Wales – was first elected as an Assembly Member for North Wales in 2003, before being re-elected in 2007, 2011 and 2016.
Commenting on his re-selection, Mark said: “I am proud and honoured to once again have been given this great responsibility by the wonderful Welsh Conservatives of North Wales.
“It has been an honour to have represented this region since 2003, and to fight our corner in regular engagement with Welsh Government ministers, and to proudly promote North Wales within the Senedd and beyond, and through my work with organisations and individuals.
“The fight to deliver our Welsh Conservative devolution revolution lies ahead in the Welsh General Election to give North Wales a voice, fair funding, and the decision making it deserves.”
The candidates selected are:
Mark Isherwood
Cllr Sam Rowlands (Conwy County Borough Council)
Barbara Hughes
Cllr Gareth Davies (Denbighshire County Council)
