A BODY was found in the Menai Strait on Sunday morning.
North Wales Police said the man, 66, from the Bangor area, was recovered from the water.
Officers were called to the area just before 8.30am following reports of an abandoned vehicle on Brittania Bridge.
"We were called at 8.27am on Sunday, January 10 to reports of a vehicle abandoned on the Britannia Bridge," a police spokesperson said.
"Sadly, the body of a 66 year old man from the Bangor area was later recovered from the water.
"The local coroner for North West Wales has been informed."
