A SERIES of creative online workshops for Gwynedd residents are aiming to start the year with a positive attitude to mental wellbeing.

Llesiant i Mi, run by the Arts Council of Wales and Gwynedd Council's Well-being Team, encourages 'five ways to wellbeing' - five actions that contribute positively to mental well-being - connect, learn, be active, take notice and give.

Participants will be guided by a small team who will share their experiences and ideas around creativity and well-being.

“Llesiant i Mi is not a program of treatment or clinical therapy, but rather a scheme to inspire and share ideas that can be of support to the people of Gwynedd," said Gwawr Roberts, Gwynedd Council community arts development officer.

Registration for the online sessions can be made via the Gwynedd Greadigol-Creative Gwynedd Facebook group.

Cllr Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council cabinet member for economic and community development, said: "The past year has been a very difficult time for all of us, and it’s great to see such an encouraging project taking place in early 2021.

“The coronavirus has undoubtedly had an impact on many people's mental well-being, and creative activities such as this project can help people share their experiences and inspire others to start the new year afresh and I hope will be a better year for all of us."
