TWO men were seen attempting to break into a hotel in Anglesey on Monday night.
Anglesey Arms Hotel said the burglars were spotted during the incident just before 7.30pm, when staff "scared them off" and they fled in a white van.
The vehicle's registration plate was recorded and reported to the police.
The Menai Bridge pub and hotel warned that the men could be targeting other businesses in the area.
"Please be aware that there are two guys targeting businesses in the Menai Bridge/Bangor area," staff at the venue posted via the We Are Anglesey Facebook page.
"We have just caught them red handed and scared them off.
"The police are aware."
North Wales Police said it is investigating the incident.
"We received a call at 7.24pm last night reporting suspicious activity at the Anglesey Arms Hotel, Menai Bridge," a police spokesperson said.
"The incident is currently being investigated.
"Anyone with any information should contact police on 101 quoting ref Z001822."
