IF YOU missed your annual Boxing Day festive swim in the sea you can always take part in Rhyl lifeboat’s virtual dip.
In many places normal Boxing Day and New Year’s Day dips have had to be cancelled because of the Covid 19 restrictions.
Rhyl’s innovative idea allows everyone to take part in the comfort of their own bath, paddling pool or hot tub, and everyone who joins in is invited to post a video or photo on the RNLI Facebook page.
The virtual event continues until Saturday January 2.
RNLI fundraising has been badly hit due to the pandemic and this novel idea will help pay for the upkeep of the service as participants are invited to contribute 5 to the RNLI Just Giving page.
