COASTGUARD teams in Bangor have come to the aid of an injured paraglider.

Rhosneigr and Bangor Coastguard team members confirmed the incident on their social media page on Sunday afternoon, December 20.

They said: “Rhosneigr Coastguard Team paged this morning along with Bangor Coastguard Team to assist an injured paraglider who had crashed into the sand dunes by Newbrough Beach after being blown by wind.”

They added that both an air ambulance and land ambulance were in attendance.

The spokesman continued: “Injured person treated by paramedics on scene before being stretchered by our teams to the land ambulance for transport to hospital.

“Wishing the paraglider a speedy recovery.”
