A MAN sadly died following a crash in Bangor on Friday evening, police confirm.

The 22-year-old was involved in a single vehicle collision near Railway Cottages on the A4244 at Felin Hen, Bangor.

Police attended shortly before 9.30pm and officers are now appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash.

They are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or can provide information with regards to road and weather conditions.

Their appeal specifically states they are asking the driver of white van with orange flashing lights on the roof who may have seen the collision to come forward.

It was said that they stopped momentarily and then drove on.

Sgt Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Tragically the collision resulted in a 22-year-old local man losing his life. Our sympathies go out to the family.

“The investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.”
